Description of Co-op program

For 18 weeks, you will take a co-operative education program
related to accounting
- For
the first 5 weeks, you will take two courses, GLC2O,
and CHV2O,
to learn about the culture and expectations of the Canadian
workplace and to prepare for the three credit, work placement
component of the program:
- GLC2O,
Careers Studies, Grade 10, Open, (.5 credit)

2: Out-of-School Co-op Placement |
- For
the remaining 13 weeks, you will have hands on experience
in a Canadian business setting. This co-op placement, (3
credits), provides opportunities for you to:

Acquire valuable Canadian work experience

Obtain a business reference

Expand your network and tap into the hidden job market
-
Learn effective business communication skills
